The Illinois Park & Recreation Association invites you and your agency to participate in the 2010-11 IPRA Cooperative Purchase Program. Each year, IPRA coordinates a cooperative purchase program specifically for park districts, municipal recreation agencies, forest preserves, conservation districts, special recreation associations and private agencies throughout Illinois. The program is an excellent way for your agency to save staff time and valuable tax dollars by purchasing in bulk with other agencies throughout the state.

Labor Day has finally arrived, signaling the end to another amazing summer for parks and recreation in Illinois. Millions of people have enjoyed events and time spent throughout the state recreating in areas maintained and supervised by members of IPRA. Congratulations on making it through another summer!
I’m pleased to announce the IPRA Board of Directors unanimously approved the strategic plan brought forth by Chuck Balling (chair) and the Strategic Planning Advisory Committee (SPAC). Thank you to members who provided valuable online comments for the board. If you have not had an opportunity to review the plan, I encourage you to take a peek at the future direction of your association! It is available on the IPRA website for your review.
