COMMUNICATIONS
Click above to visit the new and improved GTLA.org

We are excited to announce that the new and improved www.gtla.org is now live! Over the past several months, your GTLA Staff has worked alongside the Communications Committee to conceptualize, design and produce a new website that meets the demands of our members and the ever-evolving digital landscape. Combining real-time web analytics and the invaluable feedback that many of you provided, we were able to spotlight and emphasize many of the most frequently used features and pages on the GTLA website, while also improving the overall layout and navigation.

In addition, our new website is fully responsive, meaning that you will always have the optimal viewing experience regardless of which platform you are on at the time. Whether you are accessing our site via mobile device, tablet PC or desktop computer, you will consistently have a GTLA website that adapts to your screen flawlessly, ensuring that you can take GTLA with you on the go.

Check it out and let us know what you think!

NEW LAWYERS DIVISION
On Saturday, September 28th, GTLA's New Lawyers Division gathered at the Atlanta Community Food Bank to assist in the unloading, sorting and packaging of food and groceries for families in need across the Metro Atlanta community. At the conclusion of the volunteer project, the NLD had helped to sort 14,606 pounds of food that will help feed 12,170 deserving people.

Founded in 1979, the Atlanta Community Food Bank procures over 45 million pounds of food and groceries each year and distributes it to more than 600 nonprofit partner agencies serving families and individuals in 29 metro Atlanta and north Georgia counties. ACFB utilizes more than 1,000 volunteers a month, over 100 staff members, a large fleet of trucks and a 129,000 square-foot facility to procure and distribute food and grocery items received from hundreds of donors. Visit www.acfb.org for more information.

GRASSROOTS REPORT

GTLA's Grassroots Program was met with open arms over the past week in both Savannah and Hartwell. Members of both regions were treated to the company of their GTLA staff and members of the Georgia General Assembly who were invited to a pair of ‘Meet and Greets’ with the local trial lawyers.

The Savannah TLA held its 4th Annual Fall Social at the Bonna Bella Yacht Club. STLA members visited with Representatives Al Williams and Mickey Stephens, as well as State Senator Buddy Carter. The group had the opportunity to discuss the upcoming 2014 Legislative Session with the elected officials, and was able to provide valuable feedback on a number of very important issues.

The Lake Hartwell TLA gathered at the Cateechee Golf & Country Club for a legislative update by GTLA Political Bill Clark. They were joined by representatives Regina Quick and Spencer Frye from Athens and Hartwell's very own Rep. Alan Powell. Senator Frank Ginn was also in attendance to meet and greet with members. It was a great evening of fun and fellowship for all involved!

If you would like to get involved with your local TLA chapter, please visit here or contact Grassroots Director Micah Gravley at mgravley@gtla.org.
