  In Memoriam
GSAE Past President Jim Parkman, age 91, died February 26, 2023. A resident of Cumming, Georgia, he served as Executive Vice President of the Business Council of Georgia from 1967 until his retirement in 1991. The Business Council, a statewide employers' association, now functions as the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. He was an American Society of Association Executives Certified Association Executive, served as President of the Georgia Society of Association Executives, as President of the Atlanta Society for Human Resource Management, and as a Director of the Atlanta City Club and was active in numerous other professional and civic groups.   Congratulations to Elyse Harris, Director of Sales, Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau, on the birth of her daughter, Juliette Alaska. Little Juliette is Athens-born, and she came early to see the Dawgs win on New Year's Eve!
