3D Printing Industry
Already known adopting 3D printing in various respects, aircraft manufacturer Boeing is driving 3D printing innovation further by patenting a new 3D printing technology that actually prints objects while they are floating in midair. That’s right; this newly patented technique is meant to 3D print objects while that particular object is simultaneously levitating.

It’s hard to believe that U.S. manufacturing in considered by many analysts to be on the brink only months after domestic automotive sales soared to never-before-seen-levels. Yet the industry’s economic activity has been contracting for at least four months, according to the Institute for Supply Management. Outside of car production, America’s goods-producers are languishing, with few other industries catching a whole lot of traction.

Consumer purchases climbed in January by the most in eight months, fueled by faster earnings growth that’s being accompanied by rising inflation.
The 0.5 percent advance followed a 0.1 percent gain the prior month, a Commerce Department report showed Friday. The January figure exceeded the 0.3 percent median forecast in a Bloomberg survey. Incomes also climbed 0.5 percent, more than projected.

Starship is a self-driving delivery robot made for the suburbs. It can carry food, groceries, or packages up to two miles at a top speed of four miles an hour. It drives on sidewalks, so it uses cameras and computers to avoid obstacles like pedestrians or animals.
