On April 11, Jean-François Duguay, CPA Director of Government Relations, Atlantic and Québec, and Allan Murphy, CPA Vice President of Government Relations, along with representatives from Blue Bird Buses and Roush Clean Tech attended the Atlantic School Buses Committee meeting to discuss the benefits of propane-fuelled school buses, an ideal low-cost, low-emission solution for school boards.

Max Bouchard of Blue Bird Buses and Ryan Zinc of Roush Clean Tech led the discussion on the advantages of considering propane school buses, highlighting the money school boards would save on fuel costs and maintenance, as well as the reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to help the Atlantic provinces achieve their emissions targets by 2020.

The committee was very receptive to the information presented and has reached out with questions to the CPA following the meeting. The CPA will remain available to the committee to answer questions and attend future meetings to discuss the advantages of adding propane buses to their fleets.
