This month's member spotlight is Rebecca Drake, our FASBO Vice President.

Q: What is your name, school district, and position?
A: Rebecca Drake, Marion County Public Schools, Supervisor of Payroll
Q: What drew you to this role, and how did you get started in this field?
A: I began part-time work in the payroll field when I was in school. Payroll or any kind of Business Management was not my original career path, but it fit. So I changed my major, and here I am.
Q: How long have you been a member of FASBO?
A: 12 years
Q: Why did you join the organization?
A: I was introduced to FASBO through my former supervisor. She was a long-time member and knew this was the best organization for someone in our field to join.
Q: Who/what inspires you?
A: My team. They work very hard and support each other always. They are the reason we succeed!
Q: How do you define success?
A: Success to me is knowing that when colleagues think of me, they think of someone who is helpful, honest, and has integrity.
Q: Favorite place you’ve traveled?
A: I have been to so many wonderful place here and abroad. This time of year reminds me of the trip we took a few years ago to Germany and France. It was late November, so we were able to see lights and explore the Christmas Markets.
