What's New in the FAA
FAA's website has a brand new look and updated technology in an effort to better serve all our members. In order to get the most out of your member experience, you will need to create a new login.
A more robust and comprehensive supplier directory has replaced the old PSC Buyers Guide, which in many cases only included one company under a specific category.
Kick off the 2017 FAA Annual Conference & Trade Show in style by attending Food, Wine, and Fireworks, an APAC Celebration at Epcot. Tickets include private transportation to Epcot and an evening of drinks, desserts, and a breathtaking viewing spot for Disney's 'IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth' fireworks spectacular.
The Southwest Florida Apartment Association has identified four focus charities for 2017, as well as an emergency effort to help families displaced by a fire at a memer community. Note: To share how your affiliate, community, or company gives back and be considered for a future issue of Florida APTitudes, send an email to laureen@faahq.org.

What's New Nationally
NAA/NMHC have just released a new white paper providing detailed analysis of HUD’s recent guidance and final rules on disparate impact liability under the Fair Housing Act (FHA).
NAA/NMHC joined 14 other real estate trade groups in sending a letter to members of the House and Senate calling for the reauthorization of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and for reforms that would help the program better address the needs of the multifamily and commercial sectors.
Apartment Owners Association of California
From helipads to breweries to concierge services that can just about read a resident’s mind, amenities have been a hot topic in the apartment industry for years, and the bar just keeps getting higher. For apartment owners and operators who have neither the capital nor even the demand for these over-the-top features, there are plenty of ways to increase their communities’ appeal through amenities, many of which are simple to implement and require little up-front investment.
Supplier Updates
A more robust and comprehensive supplier directory has replaced the old PSC Buyers Guide, which in many cases only included one company under a specific category.
A workshop on Sales EQ, a brief PSC business meeting, and a session on Understanding Yourself and Others through DISCflex Assessments are planned for Monday, May 8, 1-5 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs.
Next year’s FAA Annual Conference and Trade Show offers more sponsorship opportunities than ever before. Click "learn more" to view a comprehensive prospectus brochure, as well as opportunities to extend your reach throughout the year.
