USSD and the Canadian Dam Association (CDA) recently renewed its MOU in August for the purpose of technical cooperation and exchange.
USSD is calling on USSD members with an interest in serving on the new Education and Training Committee.

Schnabel Engineering announced the promotion of Melinda Dirdal PE to Associate Engineer. Dirdal recently located to Schnabel's Longmont, CO office. Throughout her 13-year career, Dirdal has developed or reviewed dam assessment and alternatives reports for over 50 dams and has inspected more than 100 dams.
WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy, announced that Michael Drummond has joined the firm as a director in the National Environmental Process and Policy practice. Drummond served nearly a decade as deputy associate director with the White House Council on Environmental Quality.
