Caltrans "NEW" Vehicle Inspection Report Policy

Over the past number of years, CTA and many of its Heavy Specialized Carrier members have been advocating for a change to the Caltrans Vehicle Inspection Policy. Earlier this month, CTA alerted its members that Caltrans was moving towards a more efficient and streamlined approach for vehicle inspections that require a transportation permit – the change is now official. The policy change will allow haulers to utilize the applicable Caltrans Vehicle Inspection Report and submit it to Caltrans electronically for approval.
