Start of 2020 UCR Registration Period Delayed

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is in the process of reducing UCR registration fee levels for 2020 and 2021. The 2020 UCR registration period is delayed until the FMCSA publishes its final rulemaking officially establishing 2020 and 2021 UCR fees. The notice of proposed rulemaking is available here. Currently, the expected completion date for the rulemaking is unknown. Once the FMCSA publishes the final rulemaking, the UCR Board of Directors will recommend that states delay enforcement until three months after the start of the registration period.
