CTA Seeking Safety Professionals to Teach Safety Seminars

Print this Article | Send to Colleague

Attention Trucking Industry Safety Professional-

As you might have heard, the California Trucking Association is currently in the process of selecting industry safety professionals to teach/conduct safety related courses for CTA members.** Non-members may attend the courses but will have to pay $150 or more than CTA members depending on the course being taught.

Candidates must be familiar and able to present the following courses BIT, Drug and Alcohol, Accident Prevention Compliance Safety Accountability (CSA), DOT Entry Level Driver Required Training "Train-The-Trainer", Electronic Logging Devices, Hazardous Materials, Leadership Skills, and OSHA in Trucking. Candidates may also offer courses that are safety related that are not identified above.

We have also changed the number of dates that courses will be offered. Historically we offered courses every month, sometimes every other week. In an effort to draw more interest from attendees we have decided that we will offer the seminars 2-3 times a year. Each session could be a 2 day session with multiple courses. Sessions will be offered in the north and the south. Therefore in an effort to make it worth interested candidates’ time and effort, we will be selecting an individual or firm to teach courses in the north and a firm or individual to teach it in the south.

Locations have already been selected where the courses will be taught. For the north, courses will be held at CTA HQ in Sacramento. In the South, courses will be held in Ontario, CA at Jack Jones Logistics.
