Special Announcement

We hope you had a fantastic National Case Management Week, a time to recognize the invaluable work you contribute to your clients, patients, their families and supporters. CMSA has spent the past week helping to communicate the tremendous value case managers bring to planning, coordinating and facilitating care for improved health outcomes.

It has been an honor to celebrate your incomparable contributions to the healthcare continuum during #CMWeek2022, but our celebrations are not reduced to one week each year. Guided by the CMSA Standards of Practice for Case Management, case managers are dedicated to consistent ethical practices that keep the patient the focal point, and we celebrate that all year long!

It is time for case managers to move from the background and receive the recognition they deserve for Setting the Standard for Patient-Centered Care. We are committed to making sure the world knows that case managers make THE difference in patient outcomes. CMSA can feel the tide shifting and case managers becoming recognized as a necessity in the continuum of care. The timing could not be better as these last two years case managers across all settings have been challenged to step up in ways we never imagined and bridged gaps we never thought we could.

During this special time of case management appreciation, be sure to make your value known and celebrate the many successes achieved for your patients and clients, their families and their support systems. Your accomplishments deserve to be recognized!

CMSA’s top legislative priorities for the year include mental health, telehealth and workforce development. Earlier in the year, we heard from case managers, policy experts and physicians on the current state of each of those priorities during a three-part webinar series.

This year has brought great change and challenge for case management and the healthcare system. Keeping up to date on what’s happening on Capitol Hill and how it affects your ability to improve patient outcomes can be overwhelming.

Join a panel of experts as they share updates on the progress made around each of these priorities, how they affect case management, the roadblocks encountered along the way and what could happen next.

Moderator:
Susan Plough, PHCNS-BC, MSN, CCM

Panelists:
Dr. B. Tilman Jolly, MD, FACEP
Matt Dennis, Partner with CRD Associates
Sheilah McGlone RN, CCM
Charlene Neu, CCM
