Heartland Acoustics & Interiors Embrace GRIDLOK® Ceiling Brace System in Healthcare

Heartland Acoustics & Interiors recently announced they are rapidly deploying the GRIDLOK® bracing system on multiple California projects in the healthcare space. This follows the announcement of certification gained for GRIDLOK® under OSHPD’s preapproval program.

“I met the team from GRIDLOK® fifteen months ago at a trade show, and was impressed with the capability of GRIDLOK®, but at that stage they had not completed their OSHPD approvals.” “We stayed in close contact and in March of this year they obtained the necessary approvals” said Jason Gordon, CEO of Heartland.

Mr. Roberson continues; “Traditional designs using four wires and a compression post, or on-site assembly of cut and bent studs are inferior to the GRIDLOK® solution. The GRIDLOK® solution reduces the number of braces required and the airspace taken up by conventional systems. GRIDLOK® can maintain a 12’ x 12’ format in higher seismic areas and uses lighter steel stud and shallower embeds of expansion bolts than OSDPD’s own standard designs. The 360-degree rotational capability of the GRIDLOK® clip is the icing on the cake, combined with our ability to place the clip anywhere along the main runner.”
