CLFP will hold a Proposition 65 Workshop on July 11 in Sacramento. The workshop will include an introduction to Proposition 65 legal requirements and regulations and the potential litigation exposure for companies selling food and beverage products in California. Discussion and presentations also will include how Proposition 65 is enforced and how it impacts the food and retail sectors in California.
 
 
   
CLFP staff participated in the 2018 World Processing Tomato Congress (WPTC), held June 11 – 15 in Greece. A number of CLFP processor and supplier members also attended the Congress, and CLFP is a member of the WPTC Board of Directors.
 
 
   
CLFP will hold its annual Supplier Host Tournament Golf Tournament on October 26 at the Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton. For the first time, the tournament will be held the day following CLFP's Fall Board of Directors meeting.

June 1 was the deadline for the California State Assembly and Senate to pass legislation introduced in their houses. Strong opposition from the California League of Food Producers helped stop several bills from advancing that could have been detrimental to the state's food processing industry. The Legislature will hold policy committee hearings through the month of June.
