CLFP Participates in 2018 World Processing Tomato Congress

CLFP staff participated in the 2018 World Processing Tomato Congress (WPTC), held June 11 – 15 in Greece. A number of CLFP processor and supplier members also attended the Congress, and CLFP is a member of the WPTC Board of Directors.

The Congress is held every two years in conjunction with a meeting of the International Society for Horticultural Science. The purpose of the meeting is to share information and learn about the latest research regarding tomato growing and processing. Meeting topics included world supply and demand trends, discussion of the latest findings regarding the health benefits associated with tomato consumption, new growing and processing technologies and consumer trends.
