Coronavirus Results in Surge in Demand at Food Banks

The coronavirus has created challenging times for many people trying to provide adequate food and other supplies for their families and has also resulted in more people seeking out food banks for assistance.

Food banks in various parts of the United States are reporting an unprecedented number of people visiting food banks for the first time and seeing increases in demand of more than 200 percent. News reports show long lines of cars and people outside some of these facilities.

CLFP has posted a list of food banks in California on its website. CLFP encourages its members and others who are able to consider donating to these food banks.
