Beware of the Ides of March! This week there are 38 state legislatures actively meeting – including Louisiana which gaveled in its 2016 legislative session on Monday. State Legislature Adjournments

Without getting into all of the mumbo-jumbo, the most important take away from release of the House Budget Committee's proposal, entitled A Balanced Budget for a Stronger America, is that it seeks to cut $877 billion in non-Defense Domestic spending over ten years, and once again includes language which would seek to freeze the maximum Federal Pell Grant award at the FY2016 level for the next 10 years. SHOUT YOUR BEAUTY! Rocks Solider Field

The Beauty Changes Lives Experience kicked off SHOUT YOUR BEAUTY! — a social consciousness campaign at Chicago’s Soldier Field on March 12, during America’s Beauty Show. Attendees shouted their perceptions of beauty on a statement wall near the pink carpet. Get ready for an inclusive campaign that will connect the industry with consumers during national SHOUT YOUR BEAUTY week, Aug. 1-7.

And between now and August 7, Pivot Point will donate $1 to BCL scholarships for every Instagram post with the hashtag #SHOUTYOURBEAUTY or #BEAUTYCHANGESLIVES. More details will be shared soon on www.SHOUTYOURBEAUTY.com
