AACS is proud to present the following slate of candidates for the AACS Board of Directors to be voted in to office on Sunday, November 6, at the AACS Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL. Per association bylaws each school member in good standing shall have one vote per school owned up to a maximum of ten votes.

If you are unable to attend the AACS Annual Meeting you may vote by assigning a proxy vote to a fellow school member in good standing who will be at the AACS Annual Meeting. You may assign this proxy by providing a letter/email on official school letterhead stating who can vote on your behalf. This can be sent to to either AACS Executive Director, Adam Nelson at adam@beautyschools.org or another eligible school owner who will be in attendance (they will need to bring this letter with them when picking up ballots).

The Department has announced the Draft GE Debt-to-Earnings (D/E) Rates Challenge Period:
• October 24 to December 7, 2016

Click here for the IFAP Announcement Details

You should have received all of your back-up GE data detail in your SAIG mailbox by now. You can also request it from the professional NSLDS site:

More information will be provided in the coming weeks in regards to How to Appeal your final GE D/E rates after the challenge period has concluded and the final rates are posted.

In the meantime, one of the most helpful references to remind all of us of this process was included in this announcement from June 30, 2015.  I find it to be a very helpful overview of this process, so I’m including it again here.

Warmest Regards,
