The Department has announced the Draft GE Debt-to-Earnings (D/E) Rates Challenge Period: 

• October 24 to December 7, 2016

You should have received all of your back-up GE data detail in your SAIG mailbox by now. You can also request it from the professional NSLDS site:





More information will be provided in the coming weeks in regards to how to appeal your final GE D/E rates after the challenge period has concluded and the final rates are posted.  




In the meantime, one of the most helpful references to remind all of us of this process was included in this announcement from June 30, 2015. I find it to be a very helpful overview of this process, so I’m including it again here.
