Annual Convention PowerPoints Online
The AACS Annual Convention & Expo offered some incredible education for beauty and wellness school owners, directors, compliance and admissions staff. We’ve made the majority of the PowerPoint presentations— including all three sessions presented by the Government Relations Committee— available for download. Although this isn’t nearly as great as being at the actual event, hopefully you can glean some insight into the ideas presented at the sessions. Thank you to our 2014 AACS speakers for making the education top-notch and providing their material after the event!

A Gratitude Habit to Boost Your Positivity
In light of Thanksgiving, a time when people often assess what they’re thankful for, a recent SUCCESS article expressed a great idea when it comes to boosting your overall positivity by using the "at least" theory. Whenever something bad happens, and it could be a small thing or a big thing, find gratitude in the fact that it could always be worse. The writer, Melissa Balmain used the example: There’s a blackout while I’m in the basement of my house. At least it didn’t happen when I was cleaning the cats’ litter box, I tell myself. Next morning, I spill coffee all over the kitchen counter. At least it didn’t go in the silverware drawer. Read the full article here.
