Description Facebook had a tough time in 2018 with data scandals and campaigns like #DeleteFacebook. This, paired with Instagram continuing to grow in the target demos for most schools, makes it tempting to abandon Facebook altogether. Although Instagram produced great engagement for schools, Facebook still produced 80% of their social media leads. We’ve analyzed over $350,000 in ad spend, 53 million impressions, and 100,000 link clicks across 31 schools and 67 locations in 2018. In this presentation, we'll talk about how schools should leverage both platforms to increase brand awareness, help increase search traffic, and drive leads. We'll discuss what content works best, campaign options, and high-level targeting opportunities. We’ll review industry benchmarks for 2018 and compare them to overall social advertising benchmarks from AdStage to help pave the best strategy for schools in 2019. We’ll also talk about ways to set and track KPIs to hold each platform, campaign, and ad accountable. This session is perfect for all school owners and their marketing managers looking to stay relevant on social media without paying more than everyone else. The N.F. The first week of April finds 40 state legislatures actively meeting – including Virginia’s General Assembly which reconvened Wednesday to address Gubernatorial amendments and vetoes. Georgia’s legislature adjourned sine die on Tuesday and Kansas’ legislature is likewise scheduled to adjourn on Friday. Additionally, both Colorado and Iowa have crossover deadlines this week by which bills need to be passed by their chamber of origin to remain viable. During this critical period, AACS will keep you apprised of the latest state legislative developments of interest to member schools. Tennessee’s Senate voted 26 to 5 Monday to pass SB 1185 as amended. The amendment, which technically preserves the state’s 300-hour natural hair styling license, would allow the performance of hair braiding with 16-hours of training in health and hygiene, either online or in person.
