During a break in last week's Defense to Borrower Repayment Federal Negotiated Rulemaking, AACS Public Policy Advisor Tom Netting took the opportunity to inquire with key Department officials on the status of the Department's publication of the Completers Lists, which are the beginning of the next phase of the process in implementation of the GE regulations. Department officials indicated, as noted in their February 3, 2016 Electronic Announcement #73 – Spring 2016 Distribution of Draft GE Completers Lists, that they are continuing to work towards the completion of the formatting of the data and enhancements to the Data Challenge and Appeal Solution system, before providing the Completers Lists to institutions and open the forty-five day challenge period. Department officials also shared that they anticipate the publication of additional sections of the GE Operations Manual, NSLDS GE Users Guide and introduction of the Alternative Earnings Survey Best Practices Guide.
