Last week, Mississippi’s legislature cleared HB 464 for Governor Phil Bryant’s (R) signature after the House voted 104 to 13 to concur with a Senate amendment. The measure which extends the repealer of Mississippi’s State Board of Cosmetology to July 2020 also contains provisions that increase the cosmetology, esthetics and manicuring instructor training course of study to 1,000 hours.
