Update on State Legislative Activities

As we begin March, there are 44 state legislatures actively meeting. On February 25, the Virginia General Assembly became the first legislature to adjourn sine die in 2017. Additionally, there are two states – Colorado and Indiana – with crossover deadlines this week by which bill needs to be approved by their chamber of origin to remain viable. Texas, Utah, Montana, West Virginia, Mississippi, North Dakota and Kentucky all have activity this week and you can read more in this week’s State Relations Update.
