The BOMA International Winter Business Meeting took place from January 28 to January 31 in San Diego, CA. As always, the legislative agenda was packed. First, I met with my colleagues and their Members from around the country, as well as BOMA International staff, for 5 hours to cover all the work BOMA International is doing and to review local issues. Each state or locality faces its own issues and its own political landscape, but there are commonalities as well. This year, many cities seemed to be seeking ways to solve homelessness issues.

On February 15, 2017, BOMA/NY President Jim Kleeman, Vice President Ron Zeccardi, Board Member Laura Belt, and staff person Daniel Avery traveled down to 250 Broadway, across the street from City Hall, to meet with upper-level staff from City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito's Office. The meeting concerned Int. No. 1303, which, among other things, would establish an office of enforcement for sidewalk vendors, create a food vendor advisory group, and allow for a significant increase in food cart vender permits over the next several years.

Do your part to complete the narrative.
