What's New at ASBO

Taught through a historical lens, this program explores issues of school business management and leadership, and is held at various locations of great historical significance, for example, Gettysburg, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.

The following slate of candidates was presented by the Nominations Committee under the direction of Immediate Past President, Melvin Burley and approved by the ASBO Board of Directors to be on the ballot at the 2015 Spring Conference:

ASBO MD&DC honors its many exemplary members through affiliate recognition programs—some of which are similar to ASBO International’s recognition programs. For example, the Paul B. Bell Award is similar to the ASBO Eagle Award, and the Phillips Best Practices Award is similar to the ASBO International Pinnacle Award. I encourage you to nominate your deserving award winners for ASBO’s prestigious awards as well.

First, they establish minimum requirements for someone to be hired as a school foodservice director. Second, they set continuing education requirements for all K-12 foodservice staff.
