Urbanik, executive director of Partners for a Competitive Workforce, hears the frustration among employers about difficulties in identifying workers to fill open positions and job seekers who say there’s a shortage of good jobs or are unable to find work. She said these conversations are playing out around the country and "there are no overnight fixes, much to everyone’s dismay." (Cincinnati Enquirer)

The University of Cincinnati’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business received a $5 million gift on Thursday for its planned new home, according to a news release. (Cincinnati Enquirer)
Newport and Dayton are included in Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Government grants announced Thursday — for a total of $7,172,960 for three projects. The grants include: Newport-South Monmouth: $3,212,560; Newport-South Monmouth underpass: $3,074,400; Dayton-Riverfront Commons: $886,000. "This is a great day for Southbank and our cities," said Jack Moreland, president of Southbank Partners. (Northern Kentucky Tribune)

Prepare Affair is an annual event that helps low-income seniors and people with disabilities make winter preparations and stay safely in their homes. We are looking to put an ACI-YP crew together that would be willing to dedicate a small amount of time to help make a big difference for someone in need. Join us on Saturday November 12th from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. More details to come on project specifics. Be sure to select "Geoff Ryan – ACI YP" as your crew leader. 
Watch the Browns take on the Ravens, enjoy good food and drinks and meet some new people. This event will also be in conjunction with an "eat wings and raise funds" fundraiser for the ACI-YP scholarship. 10 percent of our tabs will go towards this scholarship.
