Workers in the Cincinnati metro area had an hourly wage about 3 percent less than the national average, with all but three major occupational fields below the national average of wages according to a recent Cincinnati Enquirer article based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. One of the three groups with higher wages, however, is construction and extraction.

Anne Mitchell’s Middle School Advocacy program gained more media attention with a Cincinnati Enquirer article featuring the Construction Camp for youths 11 to 14-years-old. The program is funded by the Spirit of Construction Foundation and housed here at ACI.
