Workers in the Cincinnati metro area had an hourly wage about 3 percent less than the national average, with all but three major occupational fields below the national average of wages according to a recent Cincinnati Enquirer article based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. One of the three groups with higher wages, however, is construction and extraction.

ACI-YP launched the Lessons Learned program earlier this month, which allows young professionals the opportunity to get face-time with some of the construction industry’s leading professionals. With the industry changing year after year, it is vital for the millennials to understand how the construction industry got to where it is today and what they need to be successful. The second Lessons Learned is on September 7 with Steve Eder, Vice President, Cincinnati Regional Leader at Messer Construction Co. Contact Erica Schwegman at 513-221-8020 or eschwegman@aci-construction.org for more information.
