In an effort to further elevate excellence in design, AIA Georgia has partnered with local allied organizations to focus attention on all aspects of the design profession. This year AIA Georgia invites members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Georgia Association, the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Georgia Chapter, the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Georgia Chapter, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Georgia Chapter and The Urban Land Institute (ULI) Atlanta District Council to present their best work for consideration.

The BERKELEY PRIZE supports the study and teaching of the social art of architecture. The online, two-stage Essay Competition (in English) is open to undergraduate architecture majors in accredited schools of architecture throughout the world. The Travel Fellowship Competition and the Architectural Design Fellowship Competition are open to the Essay Competition seminalists.

The Chain Link Fence Manufacturers Institute (CLFMI) has announced that it is now accepting applications for its 2012 Les Grube Memorial Design Award contest. The award, which includes a uniquely designed plaque and a cash award of $2,500 given to the designing architect and $1,000 to the installing contractor, is awarded to the project that makes the best and most unique use of chain link fence materials.

AIA Atlanta has an open submissions call for articles for its first annual publication, "Design Equilibrium," to educate, inform and stimulate design discussions on the built environment. The publication will highlight programs that AIA Atlanta has produced throughout the year, and it will also introduce a visually stimulating publication that collaborates articles written by the design community.
