New AORN Specialty Assembly for Healthcare Value Analysis Now Available-Take Action to Join This new Joint Resource with AHVAP/AORN

AHVAP and AORN are excited to formally announce the launch of the new Healthcare Value Analysis Specialty Assembly specifically for the perioperative healthcare setting.

This new Specialty Assembly is a great resource for:

• Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals with responsibility for the perioperative setting
• Industry Partners that have products relevant to the perioperative setting
• Perioperative Clinicians that are part of a healthcare value analysis committee

Below is an overview of the new Specialty Assembly. There is no cost to participate for current AORN members. This is an excellent way to increase your perioperative knowledge and collaboration.

Purpose and Mission

The AORN Perioperative Healthcare Value Analysis Specialty Assembly is established to build strategic alliances between perioperative nurses and healthcare value analysis professionals. Our mission is to foster interprofessional collaboration, share best practices, and develop innovative strategies that enhance patient safety, improve clinical outcomes, and optimize resource utilization in perioperative settings.

Objectives

• Enhance Collaboration: Establish a platform for open dialogue between perioperative nurses and value analysis experts to align goals and share insights.
• Educational Initiatives: Develop and promote educational programs, workshops, and webinars that address the unique challenges and opportunities at the intersection of perioperative nursing and value analysis.
• Best Practice Development: Identify, document, and disseminate best practices for integrating value analysis principles into perioperative care to improve clinical and operational performance.
• Innovation and Research: Encourage and support collaborative research projects and pilot programs that explore innovative solutions for cost-effectiveness, safety, and quality improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as perioperative nurses and healthcare value analysis professionals, including healthcare institutions, academic partners, and industry leaders, to support a unified approach in advancing healthcare value analysis.

Membership and Structure

The Specialty Assembly will consist of perioperative nurses, healthcare value analysis professionals, healthcare industry partners/suppliers, and other key stakeholders that are engaged in the healthcare value analysis process.

To join, you simply need to be a current member of AORN in any membership classification. There is no cost. Once you are a member of AORN, please join Nursing Network and then you can email info@ahvap.org and our team will be glad to have you added to the new Specialty Assembly.
