AHVAP Announces Innovative Ambassador Program

Are you Looking to Serve AHVAP and Grow your Professional Influence?

The Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals, Inc. (AHVAP) is thrilled to introduce our latest professional engagement program as part of our five-year strategic plan: the AHVAP Ambassador Program. This program is designed to help those who meet the program criteria and are appointed increase their professional influence and learn more about volunteer service within AHVAP. The program is open to all AHVAP members, regardless of membership type. This program aims to highlight the following core areas across our professional association through professional engagement: 

  • Community Engagement: Representing AHVAP at industry events, conferences, and workshops, providing insights into the value analysis profession and promoting the association's resources and benefits.
  • Networking and Relationship Building: Establishing and nurturing relationships with healthcare professionals, organizations, and academic institutions to expand AHVAP’s network and influence.
  • Education and Advocacy: Delivering presentations, seminars, or webinars on behalf of AHVAP, and advocating for the adoption of best practices in healthcare value analysis.
  • Membership Growth: Assisting in recruiting new members by highlighting the benefits and opportunities offered by AHVAP and engaging with potential members at various events and platforms. 

The Program Requirements are as follows: 

  • Membership: Be a current, active member of AHVAP in good standing. Applicants must personally recruit at least five members each year to AHVAP to remain active in the program.
  • Experience: Possess at least two years of professional experience in healthcare value analysis or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Commitment: Commit to a one-year term as an AHVAP Ambassador, with a willingness to participate in required training sessions and attend a minimum number of events or activities as an AHVAP Ambassador representative.
  • Advocacy: Demonstrate a passion for advancing the field of healthcare value analysis and a commitment to the goals and values of AHVAP.
  • Board Certification: Must currently hold the CVAHP™ board certification designation at minimum. Candidates should ideally possess other AHVAP Certification Center micro-credentials as well.

 Program Benefits:

  • Recognition: Official recognition as an AHVAP Ambassador on the AHVAP website and at association events. Ambassadors will also receive an official Credly digital badge as long as their ambassador status remains active.

  • Exclusive Access: Early access to AHVAP resources, events, and networking opportunities.
    Support: Ongoing support and resources from AHVAP to fulfill their ambassadorial duties effectively.
  • Membership: Ambassadors will receive a complimentary membership during their official term as an AHVAP Ambassador.
  • Discounts: Receive $50 Off Discount for AHVAP Annual Conference if in good standing as an Ambassador at the time of conference registration.

Applications can be submitted at any time, and appointments are 12-month terms once candidates are confirmed to the program. All applicants will be interviewed by the AHVAP Nominating Committee.
