Dear AHVAP Members and Affiliates,

We are reaching the end to another year, and I’m hoping that 2021 has been more on the positive and upscale side versus 2020. Although we continue to experience supply chain shortages, recalls, back orders and issues with product allocations, we are all continuing to pull together with the support through team collaboration. Keep up great value analysis team work as we can all be proud of making it through these trying times!

This leads me into not saying goodbye but to pass off my 2021 AHVAP Presidential journey to incoming President Elizabeth “Liz” Eisenberg. I have had the opportunity to work with Liz this past year, and I assure you that I’m proud to be a peer colleague of Liz. Liz is a significant challenger and achiever, and her passion in Value Analysis is deeply embedded within her work and home ethics. Liz will be focusing strategically in 2022 on quality education, reconnecting members and affiliates, and contributing to the development of our next generation of leaders. Keep a watch out for Liz’s articles in 2022 as they will surely inspire all value analysis professionals.

I am deeply honored to have served as AHVAP’s 2021 President and proud of leading the Association into achieving another successful year. We had great strategic accomplishments in 2021 including the establishing and implementation of new committee directives bringing forth cohesive committee collaboration with defined goals and objectives and increasing membership by 13%. This was achieved with such enthusiastic and supportive AHVAP dedicated voluntary Committee and Board of Director members. I would like to thank the 2021 Board of Directors, AHVAP’s eight Committees, all my peers and colleagues, members and affiliates, and the AHVAP Office for having faith in my skills and leadership to serve as your AHVAP 2021 President. It has been a great experience, pleasure and opportunity to work with such dedicated industry professionals to carry forth the mission and vision of AHVAP. I am greatly blessed and thankful to all of you for providing me the opportunity to grow and continue to develop in my value analysis profession. Please be safe and have a wonderful holiday and a happy and healthy New Year!

With good health,

−Susan Toomey, BSHA, CVAHP, CMRP
