CVAHP Committee Q1 Accomplishments

Print this Article | Send to Colleague

We are excited about the work being accomplished by the CVAHP Committee Members.  Here’s a brief overview:

  • The ANCC Magnet Recognition of CVAHP Certification Work team, led by Karen Niven, Team Leader, assisted by Team members: Karla Barber, Laura Polson, Melanie Miller, Beth Potter, have gathered the documentation required for submission. Unfortunately, ANCC announced in late January that Magnet Requirements are being reviewed and revised. No applications are being accepted until the new guidelines are available (late in 2022). Our thanks to all team members for their investment in this work.
  • Anne Marie Orlando has completed the annual CVAHP Handbook, Policies and Documents Review. Be sure to check out the updated CVAHP Flyer posted under the Certification tab on the website. The flyer is available to print and share with co-workers and industry peers that employ the Value Analysis process to evaluate healthcare products and services for clinical quality and cost effectiveness. Great job, Anne Marie!
  • The CVAHP Exam revision has required a tremendous time investment from team members, Melanie Miller, Misty Hathaway, Rose Rickrode, Karla Barber, Jennifer Estes, and Jeannie Vaughn. Once new questions are created and approved, Sue Knapp, Barbara Strain, Laura Polson, Karla Barber, and Toni Young will review and approve the new exam form. This is the first revision since the certification exam was introduced in the fall of 2015. This is an exciting time for AHVAP and the CVAHP Committee
