July is an amazing month! Independence Day, summer vacations, the children are out of school, and we celebrate Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals Week!

This year certainly feels different. It’s been a frantic pace since January. Our clinicians are exhausted, and we continue to scramble for resources and product substitutions in our war against this pandemic. We’ve learned so much about the shortfalls of healthcare, and many have had their eyes opened to the value that our teams and staff bring to senior leadership. Now is the time to invest our skills and band together to promote the value analysis profession in both learnings and future AHVAP strategies. Please encourage your peers to join your organization so we can enhance strategic partnerships and expand educational offerings.

We welcome all of you to join our 2020 virtual interactive conference Transformation Begins Here! There will be all the exciting networking opportunities and inspirational speakers we have every year, but this year will allow more attendees than ever as the costs and travel restrictions will not be an obstacle. The meeting will be Oct. 20-29, and we ask you all to support each other by joining the group and sharing all that you have learned and experienced this past year.

I am so excited by what AHVAP is going to be able to do this year and was so proud at how everyone stepped up to do the pandemic podcast series to share lessons learned. Prayers for you all, and I am looking forward to talking to everyone this fall. Don’t hesitate to contact any of us on the board of directors if you have any needs or suggestions!
