Member Segmentation Task Force Report

Submitted by Robin Lane

  • Members have suggested regular communication, regional meetings and local chapter meetings would bring value. Current alignment does not provide the best model for successfully meeting those needs.
  • The Member Segmentation Task Force was appointed by the board to review the membership at large and determine if a different geographic alignment would be beneficial to the members.
  • Based on a review of the members in each region, the regions have been redefined and 10 districts created.

Benefits for Members

  • Improve contact and communication and offer additional opportunities for engagement-local networking, regional activities, educational opportunities
  • Develop synergies with other professional organizations, such as local AHRMM chapters
  • Create additional entry-level leadership opportunities within the organization
  • Equip members with information and support required to represent AHVAP at industry events

The Plan

  • Pilot program: January 2020 through December 2021
  • Each member will be assigned a district within their region
  • Each district will have volunteer leadership (District Representatives) that help facilitate activities in the local district level. This will fall under the guidance of, and with the assistance of the Regional Director
  • The possibilities are endless...

Next Steps

  • Membership data is being reviewed for accuracy. If you have changes (name, address, email address) please let us know
  • Regions will be realigned to reflect the changes previously noted; members will be assigned to the district that matches their physical location. This will occur by the end of 2019. Members will be notified of their region and district
  • District Representatives are recruited - are you interested? We are soliciting volunteers for these positions. Send an email to info@AHVAP.org with the tag line “Sign me up” to let us know of your interest

Robin expresses her appreciation to the Taskforce Team members.
