Dear ASHHRA Colleagues, Belated Happy Fourth of July! As we approach the summer months, a sense of normalcy is beginning to emerge. Although the road is still being built, I am pleased with some of the progress that has already been made. The issues of staffing, retention, and recruiting for experienced individuals continue to be a problem for all of us as HR professionals. This is why we must now focus on "Making a Difference."

Evaluating and meeting our staffing needs is one of the most important and complex challenges facing hospitals, long term care facilities and other health care settings today. American Hospital Association The AHA is accepting applications for its 2022 American Hospital Association Quest for Quality Prize.
