Healthcare Dive The health care industry added 75,000 jobs in August, led by physician offices (+27,000), dentists (+22,000), hospitals (+14,000) and home health care services (+12,000), according to the Bureau of Labor Statistic’s monthly jobs report. Nursing and residential care facility jobs continue to decline, losing 14,000 jobs in August.

Becker's Hospital Review
More than half of primary care clinicians reported high levels of stress and pressure related to the COVID-19 pandemic over the past month, a new survey found. The Larry A. Green Center and Primary Care Collaborative surveyed 636 practicing clinicians in 47 states and Washington, D.C., from Aug. 21-24. Respondents represented a broad range of primary care specialties, practice settings and types.

Hospital hallways are empty, yet heavy with the sadness of lives lost. However, for doctors in training, often heralded as “soldiers” and “heroes,” the coronavirus “war” feels far from over.
