Dear ASHHRA Colleagues,

Happy Women’s History Month and hello, March 2022! This month we acknowledge and celebrate the vital role that women have contributed to American history. I'd like to thank all of our female leaders who are paving the way in our human resources profession.

Speaking of celebrations, next week (March 14 – 18) is Healthcare HR Week, where we get to recognize the vital role of HR across the continuum of care. I think this year’s theme, Keeping the Connection, will resonate with you, given the challenges we have faced during this pandemic. ASHHRA has many special offerings, giveaways and activities, and I strongly encourage you to take advantage of them right now at ASHHRA.org/HCHRWeek. 

With the decreasing number of positive COVID cases that we are seeing, the trend is finally starting to go in the correct way. Recruitment and retention of healthcare workers continue to be a challenge. I'm looking forward to networking at our upcoming ASHHRA22 conference and hearing how you're weathering the storm. Keep your focus on the goal and to remember that this, too, shall pass. ASHHRA22 will be in Phoenix, April 24–27.
