ACCG hired three interns for the summer term. University of Georgia MPA students Toni Ramirez and Maddie Guzman served as policy and research interns, and UGA Law student Cindy Phan served as the law clerk. During their time with ACCG, Ramirez, Guzman, and Phan assisted the legal, research, and governmental affairs teams with numerous projects including updating guidebooks and handbook chapters, collecting and analyzing survey data on the cost of housing state inmates, creating presentations and policy briefs, updating comprehensive county datasets on SPLOST, county revenues and expenditures, fees on tax bills, county employee statistics, and other research needs as requested.
