PortMiami receives its first dragon fruit shipment from Ecuador in collaboration with Seaboard Marine

PortMiami recently handled Seaboard Marine’s first delivery of dragon fruit from Ecuador to the Florida market.

Seaboard, the port’s leading cargo carrier, claims its new weekly service between Miami, Ecuador, and Peru offers the fastest transit and delivery times, making it ideal for both dry and refrigerated cargoes. The expanded North-South trade link is bringing new business to PortMiami.

"With a strong history in PortMiami and a strong commitment to Latin America, we tailor our reliable and efficient sailings to the needs of our customers. Importers of all perishables into PortMiami appreciate the fast transits and outstanding service that is provided," said Seaboard Marine President Edward Gonzalez.

"Our partners at Seaboard Marine have been connecting the U.S. to the Caribbean Basin, Central and South America via PortMiami since 1987," said PortMiami CEO Juan M. Kuryla, PPM®.  "We’re proud to receive Seaboard’s first shipment of dragon fruit, and want to thank them and their customers for their trust in PortMiami."
