AAHOA Interim President & CEO Rachel Humphrey joined other travel and tourism executives on Capitol Hill today in support of reauthorizing Brand USA. SunTrust Robinson Humphrey reports, “Upper Midscale (+0.3%) was the strongest/only positive chain scale for branded hotels; Economy was the weakest at -1.0%. Midscale (-0.4%) underperformed the industry average. Back to a more run-rate trend, last week's relatively clean-comp results presented flattish RevPAR. Results were largely similar across the chain scales, with Upper Midscale the only relatively positive performer; other chain scales and Independents were flat to -1%. Transient and Group RevPARs were very similar and also down about -1%.” For more, read the full report.
