COUNSELLING CORNER
Since last summer, BCSCA has been sitting on the Community Action Initiative Leadership Council, an integrated group of professionals representing the Ministry of Health, Ministry for Children and Families, community agencies, BC Mental Health Association, BC Schizophrenia Society, BC Clinical Counsellors, private industry and First Nations agencies to administer funding of 10 million dollars from the BC Government earmarked for grass roots, culturally sensitive community projects and training aimed at addiction and mental health across the lifespan. The second phase of funding has just been completed and many innovative projects have been funded across BC. Phase three is just underway and BCSCA is excited to be a part of this ongoing initiative!
