Munksjö (Helsinki, Finland), a producer of specialty paper, announced this past week that Gustav Adlercreutz, of the company's General Counsel, will retire in February 2017. He will be succeeded by Andreas Elving. Adlercreutz has been employed by Munksjö and its predecessors since 1984. After this highly respectable tenure, he has decided to retire in late February 2017.

Elving, who succeeds Adlercreutz, will be employed no later than December 22 of the current year (2016), but will formally take over the position of general counsel on Feb. 1, 2017. Andreas Elving will report to Jan Åström, president and CEO, and will become a member of Munksjö’s management team.

Andreas Elving joins Munksjö from Autoliv where he currently holds the position as the company's associate general counsel. He holds a master of law degree from Uppsala University and has completed a clerkship at the District Court of Stockholm. He reportedly has many years of broad and international experience from the law firm Mannheimer Swartling, including being stationed in Shanghai for a period of four years.

"I would like to thank Gustav Adlercreutz for his strong and longstanding contribution to creating value in what is today the Munksjö Group. At the same time, I would like to warmly welcome Andreas Elving to Munksjö. Andreas possesses broad and solid experience and will be an excellent successor to Gustav," said Jan Åström, president and CEO.
