The majority of pest professionals agree that bed bugs are the number one most difficult pest to control

The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), which serves as the public outreach arm of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), is working on its annual campaign to educate consumers about the prevalence of bed bugs during Bed Bug Awareness Week, June 2-8, 2019. The designation is recognized by Chase’s Calendar of Events and is celebrated throughout the pest management industry. Through various media relations and social media tactics, PPMA will work to educate the public on the need for diligent bed bug prevention, the signs of an infestation and the importance of working with a licensed pest control professional to mitigate infestations.

Mark your calendar for June 6, 2019 for World Pest Day – a multinational event established to raise awareness among the public, government and media about the work that pest control professionals do on a daily basis to ensure public health and safety. NPMA joins the Federation of Asian & Oceania Pest Managements Association (FAOPMA), Chinese Pest Control Association and the Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA) in the worldwide celebration, recognizing the vital role pest control professionals have in protecting against threats posed by household pests.
