Neustar Named Permanent Routing Number Administrator

As of March 19, 2012, Neustar will be responsible for managing and assigning non-dialable p-ANIs (Pseudo-Automatic Number Identification) out of the 211 NXX and 511 NXX on a national basis including Puerto Rico, after which no other entity previously administering or self-assigning non-dialable p-ANIs will continue to perform that function. 

 

For troubleshooting and emergency purposes, designated employees of a PSAP may register for access to the Routing Number Administration System (RNAS) to view p-ANI assignment information for the NPAs in which the PSAP operates, which will be available on March 19th. To register, go to the www.nationalpani.com website, and select the ‘Register’ link. The RNAS user registration guide for PSAPs can be found under ‘Documents’.
