Make better selections and avoid the legal liabilities that can occur when engaging architects, engineers, management consultants, ad agencies and other professional services firms. The best way to do this is to shift from a price based Request for Proposal (RFP) process to a Qualifications-Based Selection (QBS) process. The differences are subtle and substantial.
Find out how and why the QBS selection process is mandated in the U.S. by law and why QBS processes should be extended into Canada and also include the hiring of ad agencies, management consulting firms, law firms, market research firms and all other professional services.

The CHRP Validation of Professional Experience Assessment is a formal step in earning the CHRP designation that requires candidates to demonstrate three or more years of professional experience in Human Resources within the last ten years. To gain your CHRP designation through the assessment experience, CHRP candidates will be required to submit a completed application. This application will need to be validated by your current employer. In order to be eligible to submit an application you need to be a Candidate (someone who has passed the NKE) and have had your proof of degree verified. The next submission deadline is May 15. The Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba (WCB) is now accepting applications for funding under the Research and Workplace Innovation Program for projects and knowledge transfer related to prevention of occupational injuries, diseases and return to work of injured or ill workers.
