CHRP candidates must complete an Experience Assessment requirement to obtain their CHRP designation. 

The Experience Assessment requires CHRP candidates to demonstrate three or more years of professional experience in Human Resources within the past ten years. The Experience Assessments have been in effect since February 2013. The Validation of Professional Experience Committee will be offering an information session on how to effectively complete the Validation of Experience requirement and answer any questions you may have. This session would be worthwhile for any individual who is seeking or considering obtaining their CHRP designation.

The CHRP Validation of Professional Experience Assessment is a formal step in earning the CHRP designation that requires candidates to demonstrate three or more years of professional experience in Human Resources within the last ten years. 

To gain your CHRP designation through the assessment experience, CHRP candidates will be required to submit a completed application.  This application will need to be validated by your current employer.  In order to be eligible to submit an application you need to be a Candidate (someone who has passed the NKE) and have had your proof of degree verified.  

The next submission deadline is May 15.

In partnership with the World Federation of People Management Association (WFPMA), we invite you to be part of the largest global study on talent management focusing on smaller organizations (compared to larger ones) - the cornerstone and source of innovation in all economies worldwide. Talent management is key to the performance of any-sized organization, but research on the smaller hardly exists. WFPMA aims to provide national HR organizations and you with insights on how successful organizations manage talent.

The survey is anonymous and requires not more than 10-15 minutes. It can be interrupted and continued from the same computer. The survey comprises 26 short answer questions and an evaluation of good practice topics. The survey closes soon so we urge you to fill it out as soon as possible. As a thank you participants will receive exclusive survey details if you choose to provide an email address (optional) and answer at least 80% of the survey. The WCB has been asked by the Government of Manitoba to seek community feedback on amending the Workers Compensation Act to provide presumptive coverage of PTSD. The WCB welcomes your input regarding the issues and questions posed in the Consultation Paper. This input will form the basis of a report that the WCB will provide to the Government of Manitoba at the conclusion of consultations in early May 2015.

The Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba (WCB) is now accepting applications for funding under the Research and Workplace Innovation Program for projects and knowledge transfer related to prevention of occupational injuries, diseases and return to work of injured or ill workers. A total of $1 million is available to fund qualified projects. 

RWIP projects are funded under three (3) streams:

  • Workpale Innovation 
  • Scientific Research 
  • Training and Education
