Teachers will receive ...
· $150 stipend (The stipend will be awarded to one teacher per team. A school can have multiple teams. The stipend can be used by the teacher to off-set the cost of the three hours of graduate credit but does not have to be used for that purpose.)
· Three hours of graduate level/continuing education credit at Marshall University is available.
All the teacher must do is ...
1. Attend one teacher workshop (October 9, 2015 – details attached) – Holly Gray Park, Braxton County.
2. Train a five-member team for the WV Envirothon competition.
3. Have a complete team of five students compete in all aspects of the WV Envirothon competition and accompany them to the event on April 21-22, 2016, at Camp Caesar in Cowen, WV.
The workshop will provide teachers with detailed and engaging instruction on the environmental concepts of the WV Envirothon competition and details about registering for the college credit and receiving the school grant. The teacher stipend and school grant will be awarded after the teacher completes the three events (workshop, team training and competition).

2015 WV Envirothon Teacher Training
**** There is an additional opportunity being made available to you as well but is not required to attend. The day before our scheduled WV Envirothon workshop (October 8) we will have Project WET, Project Learning Tree and possibly Project WILD facilitators present at Holly Gray Park to train teachers on these project-based curriculum. If you attend this training, you will receive copies of these excellent curriculums to use in your classrooms. The training on October 8 begins at 1 p.m. and will end at 8 p.m. with a one-hour dinner break (on your own). Be sure to click yes on the WV Envirothon Teacher Training registration form if you can attend this additional training. Once again, this training is not required to meet the obligations of the WV Envirothon grant and stipend program.
