Vicwest Inc. (the "Company" or "Vicwest") announced that they have secured a new manufacturing facility in Edmonton, Alberta, scheduled to open first quarter of 2016.

This new "Centre of Excellence" is based on advanced quality manufacturing systems, in conjunction with leading edge technologies and service platforms.  With the opening of this new operation, Vicwest confirms that it will be closing the Delta, B.C. manufacturing plant at the end of 2015.  Until the new plant is fully operational, all Western customers will be serviced from the current facilities in Edmonton and Saskatoon.

"The decision to close the Delta manufacturing plant was not taken lightly," said Paul Lobb, President and General Manager, Vicwest Building Products.  "There were several contributing factors affecting the decision process, including how best to serve the western marketplace while delivering on our commitment of best in class value.  Our new Edmonton facility will allow Vicwest to continue to bring quality and innovative products to our customers and further enhance our delivery and service levels."

For over 85 years Vicwest has been in the building industry providing quality manufacturing solutions.  Our strategy will continue to focus on touching the areas that affect all of us where we live, work and play.

"We thank all of our customers for their continued support and look forward to working with you......................Building for Tomorrow."
